My Life Journey
Welcome to my Journey Beyond Belief! Since childhood I've believed that life and work were meant to be fun, not the painful drudgery that I saw in most adults including my parents. My curiosity about what made people "tick," including myself, started my life-long journey toward discovering who I really am and learning how to create my life and "work" to be playfull and joyous. My passion, and job description, is creating a safe space for people to experience more of who they really are and discover what they want to create in their lives, relationships and work/play.
Learning Experiences
In addition to a B.S. Degree in Education, my 25-year corporate career as a Human Resources Executive and 14 years as an entrepreneur have given me extensive experience in coaching, training and development, management and consulting. Thirty years of personal and spiritual development work have led me to become a Certified Conscious Relationship & Body-Mind Vibrance Coach through the Hendricks Institute, Certified Part-Life Regression Counselor (5/08), Labyrinth Educator/Creator, Reiki Practitioner, Interfaith Minister and dowser, allowing me to create a uniquely integrated approach to my private practice, playshops, retreats and ceremonies.
Major Turning Points
My life's journey has been full of major turning points and a broad array of life situations including:
- Marriage
- Career change #1 from public school teaching to business
- Job transfer
- Divorce
- Single parenthood
- Many years of therapy
- Mother's Alzheimer's disease
- Participation in Adult Children of Alcoholics 12-step program to deal with the effects of my father's alcoholism
- Choosing a change in my management career path to an individual contributor, which on the surface looked to many like a demotion but to me it was a major step toward being true to myself, better utilizing my gifts and moving closer to my dream
- Leaving the corporate world and starting my own consulting, coaching and training business
- Deaths of both parents, a brother and two of the people I loved most in the world dying within 2 months of each other
- Facing and overcoming major financial difficulties, and moving across the country twice – from Texas to New York in 1976 and from Vermont to Arizona in 2006
- The only major life transition I've not experienced is retirement!
Next Steps
I am currently in a rebirthing process with my business and new life in Arizona. Journey Beyond Belief is the next evolution of my creative process growing out of Spirit Matters. I'm feeling much excitement and wonder as I anticipate how this next part of my journey will unfold! WOW!
